Artworks by David and Jenny Parsons

Welcome to Artworks by David and Jenny Parsons, a website that brings together all of their late works from two distinct periods of their lives:

The Languedoc, South of France where they lived, near to Beziers, from 1996 until 2008.

Then, their return to the UK where they lived in Suffolk, near Hoxne, from 2009 until 2024.

David and Jenny met at Birmingham School of Art in the 1960s and shared the next 55 years of their lives together. They both pursued careers in art education, David in art colleges and Jenny in secondary schools.

Jenny and David’s double-act in life - the first no-nonsense, but with a sharp eye for the absurd in human behaviour, the second more than happy to spin a yarn and to relish the nonsense in human existence - often punctuated with performative blazing rows, was also one of balance and of passionate love and deep respect for the other.
